Service and Warranty Policies

NekoBytes Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before submitting your device for repair, upgrade or refurbishment.

1. General

By engaging NekoBytes for repair, upgrade, diagnostics, refurbishment, software installation or technical services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Additional work will never be carried out without your approval.

2. Repair Risks

Electronic repairs involve inherent risks. While every reasonable precaution is taken, repairs cannot be guaranteed due to age, wear, hidden faults or previous damage.

  • Devices may be beyond economical repair.
  • Additional faults may appear after disassembly.
  • Liquid damage may worsen unexpectedly.
  • Plastic clips and screw mounts may break due to age.
  • Screens or glass may crack during necessary disassembly.

3. Estimates

All quotations are estimates unless stated otherwise. If additional faults are discovered, work will pause until you approve the revised quotation.

4. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up all important data before submitting a device.

  • NekoBytes cannot guarantee preservation of data.
  • SSD failure may occur unexpectedly.
  • Operating system installation may erase storage devices.
  • Data recovery is a separate service and is not guaranteed.

5. Repair Warranty

Repairs include a 60-Day Limited Warranty covering the original fault and workmanship.

If the same issue returns under normal use, NekoBytes will inspect and repair it without additional labour charges where applicable.

6. Warranty Exclusions

  • Accidental damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Drops or impacts
  • Electrical damage
  • Power surges
  • Software issues
  • Viruses or malware
  • Customer modifications
  • Third-party repairs
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Unrelated faults

7. Customer-Supplied Parts

Customer-supplied components are generally not accepted. Where exceptions are made, no warranty is provided on those parts.

8. Refurbished Devices

Unless otherwise stated, refurbished devices include a 1-Year Hardware Warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use.

9. Software Services

Linux installations, Windows installations and software optimisation are performed on a best-effort basis. Compatibility with all third-party software cannot be guaranteed.

10. Replacement Parts

Special-order parts may require a deposit. Estimated arrival times are provided as guidance only.

11. Diagnostic & Repair Attempt Fees

Certain motherboard repairs, liquid damage repairs and data recovery attempts may incur a diagnostic fee even if repair is unsuccessful. You will always be informed beforehand.

12. Device Collection

Devices not collected within 90 days after notification may be considered abandoned. NekoBytes will make reasonable attempts to contact you beforehand.

13. Shipping

Customers are responsible for packaging devices securely. Shipping insurance is strongly recommended. NekoBytes is not liable for transit damage occurring before receipt.

14. Manufacturer Warranty

Repairs or upgrades performed by NekoBytes may void your manufacturer's warranty.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Singapore law, NekoBytes shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses including data loss, business interruption or loss of profits. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
